In 2007 the National Opinion Polls group in the UK reported that over 50% of women did not know when the most fertile time is during the menstrual cycle.

In Australia, a 2015 survey of women attending general practices found that 86% of respondents had no knowledge/poor knowledge of the most fertile time of the menstrual cycle.
