Jessie Brebner is a certified Symptothermal Method Instructor with the Natural Family Planning Teachers Association of the United Kingdom.

Jessie is also the creator and developer of Fertility Charting Journalsone of the first high-quality, hard backed A4 journals designed specifically for users of Fertility Awareness-Based Methods (FABM’s) to chart their menstrual cycles.

Jessie holds a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from the University of Waikato, New Zealand where she double-majored in public relations and marketing.

Jessie is passionate about the power of visual media (art, animation and graphic design) to communicate reproductive health concepts.

More than all of this though, Jessie has been where you are – feeling disillusioned, confused and a little scared as to how to navigate contraceptive choices.

Now, Jessie spends her time working with people from all around the world to de-mystify the menstrual cycle. Jessie provides comprehensive, evidence-based education, resources and guidance to her clients as they transition off hormonal/non-hormonal contraceptives and onto the Symptothermal Method. Jessie can fully support you whether you are trying to conceive, trying to avoid pregnancy, or are interested in using the Symptothermal Method to track your hormonal health.

Jessie brings a warm, welcoming and empathetic nature to her programs. She emphasises that nothing is “too much information” and no subject is taboo. Jessie places a massive focus on building her clients up to be the most confident versions of themselves. Clients emerge from working with Jessie with a deep understanding of not only how their menstrual cycle affects their fertility, but also how these cyclical hormonal changes affect their physical, mental and emotional health each month.

Jessie says “It wasn’t until the age of 26 that I stumbled across the Symptothermal Method in a conversation with a work colleague. Prior to this I had been on the Pill for just under a year and had found that my mental health was negatively affected. I was adamant that I would not be going back onto hormonal contraceptives, but I wasn’t comfortable with the idea of inserting a foreign object into my uterus either, so I said no to the copper IUD. Being in a long-term relationship I was very reluctant to use condoms for every single sexual encounter – I was left feeling so “stuck” about what to do next. Finding out about the Symptothermal Method changed the course of my life. It left me massively empowered, but it also left me angry. I had a lot of questions as to why I had not been taught the science of my menstrual cycle earlier (either by the school health education system or by the many GP’s I saw throughout my early adulthood). I was soon to find that, although the Symptothermal Method is proven highly effective in clinical trials, it’s not commonly taught in Medical School – so my GP knew less about it than I did! You can read more about the complex reasons behind this by reading about the effectiveness of the Symptothermal Method here: Effectiveness. This led me to where I am today – a certified instructor of the Symptothermal Method of Fertility Awareness. I hope I can be a light that guides others forward on their journey toward reproductive empowerment through education.”

Jessie is based on the Gold Coast of Australia, but hosts consults and coaching online to people all around the world. Jessie also speaks locally on the menstrual cycle at community and corporate functions.
