As you know, a small portion of almost all product sales on this website are donated anually to the Barbara May Foundation. The BMF work tirelessly to provide lifesaving maternal healthcare in Tanzania and Ethiopia.

Recently, the world has turned its back on the devastating famine in the Afar desert in Ethiopia which is killing so many women, babies and men. Valerie Browning of the BMF reports that 70% of pregnant women in the Afar are severely malnourished.

There have never been so many maternal deaths in this region. It is a tragic record.
